Kimsooja
Kimsooja’s To Breathe / Respirare will be screened before select Fall 2008 lectures. The piece, first shown at SFAI during the Spring 2008 Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series, and comprises a video work, Invisible Mirror / Invisible Needle, 2005 (10 minutes 3 seconds) and the sound piece, The Weaving Factory, 2004 (11 minutes 38 seconds) which run simultaneously to create a single, semi-ambient piece. Both works courtesy of the artist. The screenings are presented as part of the SFAI Exhibitions and Public Programs series, Pacific Perspectives, which focuses on the dynamic artistic activity occurring across the Pacific Rim.
