PASCALE MARTHINE TAYOU ::::

In this series of photographs, Tayou enlarges passport-sized pictures taken at different moments of his life.  He then shoots a single bullet hole through each photograph with a firearm.  This bullet hole becomes a sinister, funereal and frightening mark of the tension and violence which permeates the world today, but also indicates the individual choice of living on the edge.  Tayou was born in Cameroon and lives between Douala, and Brussels, Belgium.
