Revealing of the bond that the artist still has with her homeland, Russia, for the project www.brrrrr.blog.com, Nemkova connects to the Russian news site Newsru.com and presents a reinterpretation in drawings.  Since this non-governmental portal in the Russian language is her only source of information with regards to the news, her point of view remains fundamentally the same as if she were still in Russia.  The headlines which haunt the artist to the extent that she feels obliged to turn them into drawings are sent back to their place of origin, i.e. on-line, where they can be seen in a blog that the artist has created.  There, Nemkova composes her own world—a landscape assembled in an acquired place—and stores the personal effects of our time:  scientific discoveries, victims and heroes, technological inventions, myths and simple facts.
