KRISTINE ALKSNE ::::
In Trasitory Reality Alksne uses photographs taken aerially from an airplane between a trip from Milan to Riga, between Alksne’s home of the present and the past. These aerial shots of the Alps are then reworked into a felt bas-relief that unfolds along the floor, re-creating the mountain’s design in a simulation of the sensations experienced by someone constantly moving between the here and there.
